Compact robotic cell used for feeding bulk components to automate production lines.

Flexifeed is a robotic solution designed for feeding bulk components. Thanks to its high flexibility, the cell can handle products of various shapes, sizes, and materials without requiring specific tooling.

Recipe changes are completed in just a few seconds by quickly loading pre-saved settings. New recipes can also be added by operators with no programming skills and require only 10-15 minutes.

The cell integrates an advanced vision system, capable of identifying the components to be fed while rejecting non-compliant objects, which are not placed on the line. It is also compatible with various transport systems, including conveyor belts (even with pucks/godets) and rotary tables.

Flexifeed is particularly suitable for environments with high hygiene standards, such as those in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries.

Cell Components

Flexifeed consists of four main components:

  • A vibrating hopper that holds the bulk components
  • A feeder with a rotating membrane that separates and prepares the components for picking
  • A vision system that identifies and selects the compliant parts to be picked
  • A robot that picks, orients, and places the parts onto the transport line
